Significant progress has been made in the industrialization of graphene special fibers in China

Recently, the Johnson&Johnson Carey Graphene Composite Fiber and Textile Brand Enterprise Industry Chain Matchmaking Conference held by China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, China Home Textile Industry Association and other associations was held in Shanghai. Professor Sun Jinliang, a famous expert in the field of new materials in China and an academician of the CAE Member, pointed out at the meeting that the breakthrough in the industrialization of Johnson&Johnson graphene composite fiber is not only conducive to the healthy development of the graphene industry, but also creates a new path for the upgrading of China's traditional chemical fiber products and breaking the foreign monopoly on special fibers.
China attaches great importance to the development of the new material industry, and has introduced many measures to promote the development of the new material industry. At present, the domestic new material industry is in the golden age of development, with the market size exceeding 2 trillion yuan, and it is estimated that the annual average growth rate during the "13th Five Year Plan" period will reach 20%. New materials are one of the seven strategic emerging industries in China. In particular, graphene, as the "king of new materials", is leading the world in its industrialization and is rapidly promoting the upgrading and transformation of the manufacturing industry. Some experts predict that graphene will leverage the trillion yuan industrial chain in 2020. The national standard for graphene has been formulated and is under approval. The development of graphene industry may accelerate.
